Honoring the Contributions of Laborers in Society and Economic Development

Labor Day, also known as “Araw ng mga Manggagawa” is celebrated annually in the Philippines on the 1st day of May. Today, let us dedicate this celebration to honoring the contributions of workers or the labor force nationwide. It is an opportune moment to acknowledge and recognize every Filipino worker, regardless of their job. This is not only to reflect on the significance of labor but also on their values and commitment that serve as their foundation in fulfilling their roles and responsibilities in the society.

The Paulinian Gleaners is a shining example of the values that define Labor Day and the workers nationwide. Through embodying the spirit of PRAYERFULNESS, they recognize the importance of spirituality and reflection in the field of work. They remain connected to their spiritual foundation, drawing strength and guidance from their faith. Their SELF-EFFACING nature reminds us of the humility and dedication that characterize true labor. They work hard not for the spotlight but for the fulfillment of their mission, content to work behind the scenes if it means serving others more effectively. When confronted with daunting tasks or overwhelming responsibilities, laborers demonstrate the value of TRANQUIL-DARING, fulfill them with courage and serenity, trusting in God's providence and their capabilities. And ALL TO ALL, workers are always driven and dedicated to serving others and making a positive impact on the community.

This Labor Day is a time to recognize and celebrate the contributions of workers. Let us honor all workers who, through their dedication and selflessness, transform communities and empower lives. May their example inspire us to work diligently, to serve wholeheartedly, and to build a more compassionate and just world for all.
