EVENTS
“If we respect God–and God has entrusted a lot of things to us. Our life, the world we live in, ang mundo na ating tinitirhan—hindi natin to sisirain, hindi natin to aabusuhin... Pagyayamanin ito hanggang mapakinabangan nang maayos hindi lamang natin iisa, kundi ng lahat,” Rev. Fr. Juvenson Alarcon said as he preached over the First Friday Mass of St. Paul University at San Miguel this morning, March 1, 2024.
Before the mass, all attendees reverently participated in the Stations of the Cross, a practice during Lent, reflecting on the journey of Jesus Christ to crucifixion. All Paulinians bowed and prayed with humility, expressing gratitude for the divine sacrifice of Jesus Christ at the cross. As the mass began, the gymnasium radiated with delight and peace as the procession started. With CHRIST-CENTERED hearts and minds, everyone settled to hear God's message.
Father Alarcon emphasized the parable of the tenants from the gospel of Matthew in his homily, where a landowner plants a vineyard, leases it to tenants, and goes away. When the harvest time comes, the landowner sends servants to collect his share of the produce, but the tenants mistreat and kill them.
